The Pano Blueseal® is more than a lug cap: It is distinguished by the PVC-free compound made of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), recognisable by its blue colour. For consumers, the blue ring indicates that the cap does not contain any plasticisers that could contaminate the product. The Pano Blueseal® also has a BPA-NI interior coating.
Plasticisers can become dangerous due to their fat solubility, especially in fatty products. They are absorbed by the body when eating affected foods, accumulate there, and can have a hormone-like effect. The liver, kidneys and testicles can be affected. Plasticisers can impair a person's fertility and – in the case of pregnant women – harm unborn children. BPA (bisphenol A) is considered to be of particular concern due to its harmful effect on the hormonal system.
PVC-free and BPA-NI – the Pano Blueseal® meets in full the requirements of the EU, the food industry and retail chains for migration-free packaging.
